The Ghaziabad facility is the first cigarette manufacturing unit in India and the second in the world to have been accredited with a Social Accountability (SA) 8000:2001 certification. Industry accreditations such as the ISO 9001: 2000 and ISO 14000 are further proof of the impeccable delivery systems and processes used at our facilities.

The company’s commitment to environment has been appreciated with awards like the ‘Greentech Foundation Gold Award’ in 2009 and 2010 for its Outstanding Achievement in Environment Management. The ‘Greentech Foundation Silver Award 2010’ was presented for efforts in outstanding achievements and excellence in safety management.

The Indo Core products are being manufactured at the company’s own sites, viz., Thane and Dahej while strategic/traded products are being contract manufactured at Pine, Bhopal and Vapi. The Thane plant set up in 1962 has multiplied the putput by 4 times in the last 10 years, maintaining the highest standards of safety and environment compliance. The Dahej plant was set up at the Dahej SEZ, Bharuch (Gujrat), in 2009 to service the global customers at a record time of 12 months, was expanded in 2010, conforming to the global standards of EHS. All manufacturing sites are ISO 9001(2004) certified and the Thane site is also ISO 14001(2008) certified.

Owing to the strong processes and resilient production processes, the Group has put in place comprehensive Research and Development capabilities for its industries. The R & D facilities of both Godfrey Phillips India and Indofil employ some of India’s best scientists and state-of- the- art equipment.
