The Modicare Foundation was set up in 1996 to promote awareness of HIV/AIDS, recognising it as a major threat to the lives of people. 1% of Modicare’s annual sales are contributed towards the Modicare Foundation. With its main focus on adolescents, the foundation has 300,000 people going through the program every year.
In fourteen years, since its inception, the Foundation has done extensive work with people from all walks of life i.e. from young adults in schools and colleges to CRPF Jawans, migrant workers and truckers working with the DMRC. The Foundation has helped many corporate houses in the country draft HIV/AIDS infected employee friendly policies.
The Foundation is a recognised resource for the likes of NACO, UNESCO and the Delhi Government to name a few. |
